The independent music school Arpeggione in Holte north of Copenhagen offers classes on all levels in violin and viola. Children, teenagers and adults are welcome.
Everyone deserves the opportunity to realise his or her musical potential. Caring and attentive tuition is the cornerstone of Arpeggione allowing pupils to learn and enjoy during the challenging process of learning how to play a string instrument. Piano accompaniment is provided from the very first lesson in order to evoke the delight of playing together from the very start. Instruments adjusted to the size of the child can be rented from the music school and parents are always welcome to attend lessons.
The music school was founded in 2007 by Elena Arup. Elena Arup (*1971) studied nine years as a music teacher and soloist at the Kharkiv conservatory in Ukraine before she came to Denmark to continue her studies with Professor Tim Frederiksen at The Royal Danish Academy of Music in 1998. Elena Arup has played the viola in several Danish orchestras and has taught children and adults in viola and violin at public musical schools before setting up her own. Word of mouth in many circles has made Arpeggione thrive and many pupils are young children of expatriates living in the Copenhagen area.
Elena Arup is married to a Dane and has three children. She is trilingual and speaks English, Danish and Russian.
